Gangotri is a holy place in the Indian Himalayas, the second point is Char Dham Yatra (Yatra is a pilgrimage route in Hinduism). The village of Gangotri is located in the state of Uttarakhand (India) among cedar forests in the gorge of the most sacred Indian river Ganges, 19 km from its source. This is a very small village at an altitude of 3050 meters, and you can get here by bus or by car from Uttarkashi along a beautiful but terribly broken mountain road, scary sometimes, passing along the edge of a cliff.
