Now district headquarters, Sikar was once the largest thikana (feudal lord) under the state of Jaipur. Important attractions here are the havelis of Biyani, Murarka, Somani, Sagarmal Sodhani and Madho Niwas. Sikar Fort, Jubilee Hall, Jain Temples, Gopinath Temple, Raghunath Temple, Jeen Mata Temple and Madan Mohan Temple are also worth a visit.
