The road from Udaipur Airport to Kumbhalgarh took about two hours. Kumbhalgarh was built in the middle of the 15th century by the famous ruler Mevara Ranoy Kumbh, who was famous for his victories over the neighboring sultans. This is the second most important fort in Mevara, after Chittora. The fort is located at a height of over a kilometer, so the rulers of Mewara often used it as their summer residence. The perimeter of the fort is huge, about 36 km, the thickness of the fortress walls is about 5 meters, inside there are several interesting historical buildings.
