In Alwar you can enjoy interesting historical monuments. It is surrounded by a wall, a moat and has a fortress, as well as splendid palaces. The city has a beautiful lake with a very picturesque valley. The Sariska National Shrine is located in the Aravalli Hills, only a few kilometers from Alwar. This sanctuary, which is a protected reserve for tigers, is home to a large number of species, especially birds and plants. In Alwar a sweet called Milkcake is made, which although it is famous also in other places, it is exported from here to other places. They are also engaged in the preparation of seed oil, porcelain and cotton.
