Gopalpur (Gopalpur on Sea) is a small quiet town on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. In the past it was a major port (already in the era of Kalinga, the port of Paluora was located here, which played an important role in the trade relations of India and Southeast Asia), but later fell into disrepair.
