Sindhudurg is located on an island in the Arabian Sea, in the state of Maharashtra, next to Goa, near the town of Malwan. The fort is a fortification, which has more than three centuries, and at the moment it is recognized as a national monument. The fort was built by decree of the Indian king Shivaji in 1667, in order to strengthen the defensive positions on the island, since those who wanted to conquer it at that time were enough.
