Lucknow, Lucknow (Hindi) is the capital of Uttar Pradesh, 516 km east of Delhi . The population is 3.7 million people (2001). It is an administrative, scientific and cultural center. Located on the Gomti River. Lucknow is located in a humid tropical climate with cool, dry winters (December - February) and hot summers (April - June). The rainy season lasts from mid-June to mid-September.
