Kovalam is a village on the coast of the Arabian Sea, located 15 km. from the capital Kerala city of Trivandrum. Originally a former small fishing village, today's Kovalam is one of the most popular beach and Ayurvedic resorts in Kerala. Its entire coast is now built up with numerous hotels, restaurants, ayurvedic clinics and shops.
