Kausani (English Kausani, Hindi) is a hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand in the Bageshwar district. Located 53 kilometers from the city of Almora. The average height above sea level is 1890 meters. One of the attractions of Kausani is the Anashakti Ashram, in which Mahatma Gandhi spent several days. Gandhi called this region "Indian Switzerland." Kausani offers a beautiful view of the Himalayan peaks.
