After leaving Sikkim, we spent another day and a half in the small town of Kalimpong. Geographically and historically, Kalimpong, as well as Darjeeling, belongs to Sikkim, but already in the 19th century was incorporated into India. Now he belongs to the district Darjeeling, which, in turn, is part of the Indian state of West Bengal. Kalimpong is located at an altitude of about 1200m.
