Sikkim is a state in northeastern India, sandwiched between Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. Sikkim occupies the last place in India in terms of population (540,000 people), and its area (7000 sq. Km) only slightly exceeds the area of the smallest Indian state of Goa . On the territory of Sikkim there is a part of the Kanchenjunga massif (8586 m) - the third highest peak in the world.
