The origin of the Mizo tribe, like many other tribes of northeast India, is shrouded in mystery. It is believed that they came along with the great wave of migration of the Mongolian tribes from China, and later settled in India in the place of their present residence. Perhaps the Mizo tribe came from Shinlung or Chinlungsan, located on the banks of the Yalang River in China.
